Digital calipers have adjustable jaws that slide along a beam to take dimensional measurements. They are battery powered with an LCD screen that displays measurements. They can be set to zero at any point and include an on/off button, inch and mm control buttons, and display inches or metric graduations. They’re easier to read and offer higher precision than dial or vernier calipers. They have SPC output capability and can be used in all direct-measuring applications to transmit and record data. Select calipers have different jaw depths, jaw face materials, and caliper materials for specific applications. These calipers are not IP Rated for protection against water or other liquid contaminants. Calipers with a NIST-traceable calibration certificate are used for applications where traceability is critical.
